    Synopsis:

    I’m Harlow Grace, the newest, hottest face of Hollywood sex appeal, the woman every man wants and every woman wants to be… and I’m running away. I need an escape. I need to get away from the pressure, find somewhere I won’t be hounded at every step—an impossible thing to ask when I’m on billboards everywhere, from LA to Laos, Japan to Jakarta, Sydney to Siberia. So, I buy a yacht and hide out in the most obscure, remote, and unexpected place I can think of: Ketchikan, Alaska.

    Instead of a peaceful vacation, however, what I find in Ketchikan is trouble. The kind of trouble that’s six-plus feet of nerdy hotness I can’t resist. I mean, who could? He’s a genius with no idea how attractive he is, an enigma of contradictions: awkward yet confident, fascinating and flirtatious, yet aloof and evasive of physical touch.

    He’s utterly and deliciously sexy in every way—and oh, so innocent.

    * * *

    I can recite all of The Iliad and The Odyssey in the original Greek. I can do advanced mathematics in my head and memorize entire books with ease. By the time I graduated high school I had been scouted by several international soccer teams and recruited by think tanks, the NSA, and the CIA.

    All of which is totally useless when a woman like Harlow Grace is standing in front of me, trying to talk to me, flirting with me, touching me. She’s Helen of Troy—a woman with a face that could launch a thousand ships, a woman wars are fought over.

    It turns out she’s not just beautiful—she’s famous. A Hollywood sex symbol. A superstar known all over the world…

    And yet somehow she’s interested in me?

    Review By Barbara:

    I absolutely adore this series – Easily one of the top 5 series I’ve ever read. The Badd Brothers are truly everything you could ever dream up in a book boyfriend and their stories are all amazing. But without a doubt the author has outdone herself with Xavier, the youngest of the brothers, story. It’s so touching and endearing that you can’t help but fall face first for Xavier and his “uniqueness”.

    Xavier Badd is a genius who has trouble handling most “normal” social behavior situations. He spend his time with his books, building/selling his robots and of course cooking at Badd’s Bar and Grill and totally avoids personal relationships of any kind outside of his brothers and their women. That is until he meets Low, the most beautiful woman he’s ever laid eyes on. But past experience and his “uniqueness” having him running scared when Low starts to show an interest in him.

    Low, better known as Grace Harlow the Hollywood actress, has escaped the camera and paparazzi and had docked her yacht in Ketchikan, Alaska. That is where she meets Xavier Badd. He fascinates and challenges her. But most of all he likes her for herself since he honestly has no clue who she really is. But can she break through his barriers she doesn’t understand?

    Xavier and Low’s story is tender and heartwarming yet heartbreaking at the same time. The socialite and socially inept are worlds apart yet fiercely drawn to each other. The story will have you smiling and wiping at tears as you follow their journey. But trust me it’s an amazingly written journey that you absolutely do not want to miss. I highly recommend reading the entire Badd series, as just like Badd Boy, you will not be disappointed and the storylines just keep getting better and better as the series rocks on. 2 Resounding Thumbs Up for the series and book #8 – very well done!

    Review By Kathy:

    Of all of the brothers, I have to say that Xavier is my favorite and his story touched my heart. He made me smile, swoon, he broke my heart, he made me want to protect him, he made me love him! The youngest of the BADD brothers stumbles upon a damsel in distress and rushes to her rescue! Ok, he helped the beautiful woman who fell while doing a yoga pose and hit her head. He speaks in such proper English that she is taken aback, but she is intrigued by him. He’s so smart and well spoken, and the things he says to her, about her, melts her inside. They are so very different, but yet so very alike. They enjoy each other’s company and although Xavier has a problem with people touching him, he is able to accept her gentle touches. But when things get a bit too “close for comfort” and the physical closeness becomes sexual closeness, he panics and runs. Xavier has a secret, well a couple actually, but then so does the beautiful Low.

    The story of Low and Xavier is so sweet, so touching and emotional, so raw at times that you will find yourself clutching your chest at his revelations. You will find yourself, maybe a little bit, being angry with Low, but like Xavier’s family you will come to understand. They may have know him the longest, but in the short amount of time that they have been together, Low seems to know him much better than his entire family. But things aren’t going well for the couple and after an incident on the boat and Xavier runs again, Low decides to take a chance and goes after him. Things go from bad to worse quickly as it appears that his family does know who she is and…well, things get rough. Then things get really rough!

    I cannot put into words how much I loved this book. I loved all of the books, but this one has stolen my heart and I know it will not give it back. I can’t recommend this book highly enough! 20 stars for this book, and another 20 for the series!!! (If I could I would)!
