Those are the words above every picture of almost every female that strikes my interest on this dating app my son talked me into getting. After being a single dad for seventeen years, I’m ready to spread my wings, just not with most of the co-eds who keep hitting on me and calling me daddy.

Now that Caleb’s in his Senior year of high school, I feel like I can let go of the iron-clad control I’ve had on myself without his Mom in our lives. I’ve enjoyed raising him, love the relationship we have, and while he went off the rails for a bit last year, we’re closer than we’ve ever been. He’s got a full ride to the University of Alabama, and I’ve settled into my spot with the Moonshine Task Force.

Those were the lamest words I ever typed in my life, but it was the best I had for the dating app my friend, Violet talked me into joining. I didn’t have any high hopes for myself. As a High School English teacher, I’m sick of pervy Dad’s hitting on me when they come in to discuss their child’s lack of motivation to read the classics and apply themselves.

Until the day Mason Harrison walks into my classroom. I had no idea Caleb’s Dad was the man I met off that dating app who showed me how flexible I really am in the back of his Jeep. Within minutes of the parent/teacher conference he proved the sparks weren’t one-time only when we christened my desk.

Mason and Caleb? They touch a part of my heart that no one’s ever touched before, and when a threat shows up, I prove just how tough I really am.

Absolutely Brilliant!!!

I have read all the Moonshine Taskforce Books and I have to admit I have been waiting for Menace’s story. He is a single dad that has devoted his entire life to raising his son. A son that had his mother walk out on him when he was 2 and never look back. A son that was born when Menace himself was just sixteen. But raise him he did and they both turned into fine men (which we know via the first book in the series). But this book gives us a lot of the details of the life Menace has had for the past 18 years with Caleb but concentrates on the present. Now that Caleb is a senior in high school it’s time for Menace to have a personal life and hopefully find someone to spend the lonely nights with. But where does a guy in his early 30’s meet a good woman in a small town. Well according to Caleb you sign up on a dating app.; so that is just what Menace does. However only one reply (out of a lot of replies) catches his eye. But after a whopper of a first date she ghosts him, and Menace has no idea who she is, only that her first name is Katrina and he want to see her again.

Ms. Briscoe has totally outdone herself on this one. Her flare for storylines with romance, suspense, thrills and humor shine in Menace. I found myself, smiling, laughing, sighing, worrying and even tearing up a few times as I read this book. The book is funny, sexy and exciting! It’s definitely a 5 star read in a 5 star series. I highly recommend both the Moonshine Taskforce series and Menace and I am super exciting and anxiously awaiting Caleb’s story.

Well shoot! Just when you think these guys can’t get any hotter, here comes Mason “Menace”. Single dad to a teenage son, single man entering the dating scene more seriously now. What more could you ask for…oh, much more and that is exactly what you get with this book. I LOVED IT! I swear (and I’m saying why), but I had tears in my eyes at the end of the book. This is an amazing story that is well written and has the power to draw you in right away and hold your attention until the very end. This one is about family. The one he has with his son and the one that he would love to have that includes a woman by his side that will be with him after his son leaves for college. It is also about the ongoing moonshine business that the task force is still trying to find and put an end to before another teen dies.

The characters are so very well written and so approachable to the reader that you feel like you are living in their world and watching everything that is happening to them in real time, rather than between the pages of a book. I loved Menace and Karina and Caleb. Karina is beautiful, smart, sassy and is perfect for the single dad Mason. Caleb, well we’ve read about him in previous books but now he’s grown up and off to college, but he is the greatest kid you would ever want to know. They rest of the guys are around in this book as well, as are their wives and babies and it is fun to see them again and where they are all at in their relationships.

This is an amazing series and this book is now my favorite..of course that may change when Caleb’s book comes out..lol. I highly recommend this series and this book. You will not regret reading these stories.
