Falling for a fireman is so cliché.
Yet, here I am. The elementary school teacher who’s all worked up over New York’s finest.
It started out as a simple ride along. Now the only brass pole I want to slide down is his.
I know, good girls don’t think those thoughts, right?
The sculpted jaw, the tight t-shirt rippling with muscles. I’m only human.
Now, I’m the only witness to a crime. One that puts me on the run.
Solving the case is our main focus. Well, almost.
Staying at his place was supposed to be temporary. His love wasn’t expected.
Can a girl have her cake and him too?
What’s not to love about Hot Firemen. Well certainly nothing when it comes to the storyline for Smokin’. The author has done a wonderful job of mixing a great story with characters you can’t help but fall in love with. Chloe is a sassy, stubborn, independent 3rd grade teacher, who meets Ethan, a local fireman, when she shows up at the station to inquire about a field trip for her class. While on a ride along, Chloe gets to see first hand the heroics of the firemen, especially Ethan.
Someone is burning down local businesses and putting people in harm’s way. They have been lucky to this point with no deaths but the fires are escalating. However the police are sticking to the story of the fires not being connect or being arson. Ethan and Chloe are not so sure of that. So they start to do a little investigation of their own. From there the storyline takes off and it’s packed full of suspense, romance and thrilling action.
The men from fire station 128 are Hot Alpha’s, that have formed a tight brotherhood. Their inhouse banter and heroics on the job add to an already great storyline. I highly recommend grabbing up Smokin’ (Book 1 of the series), you won’t be sorry you did. 2 Thumbs Up for a great read and this reader is looking forward to Book 2 in the series, Scorchin’, which is Stone’s story, another hot fireman from station 128.
